As the Director of School and Community Partnership Development, I coordinated and executed a wide variety of school partnerships and events for PLAYDAY. I meet with the parter program and learn the arts needs of their program and then work to create a curriculum to support their parameters. Our partnerships range from early childhood afterschool programming focusing more on process art and gaining confidence with materials to full artist-residencies in independent middle schools and learning centers. I will then conference with my instructor to discuss the curriculum and its execution. In addition to school partnerships, the role also has a focus on community events and collaborations. I planned and hosted brand events at the Cobble Hill studio as well as coordinating several school fundraising festivals, private community functions, and more. I would oftentimes lead the on-site execution of the event as well and provide staff with a briefing of the event requirements prior to the start.
